On Tuesday, 5 December, at 3.45pm, the Tarlton Police arrested a 49-year-old man for murder at the Beckedan plots.
The police said the 26-year-old victim was stabbed with a sword in his upper body after a lengthy argument with the suspect. Paramedics certified the victim dead on the scene shortly after their arrival.
Constable Gloria Maswanganye said it is alleged that the suspect is the one who called the police following the incident.
“He told the police that he had killed the man, and then they apprehended him. The reason for the argument is still under investigation by the police,” said Maswanganye.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and will appear in court soon.
