People find body while on their way to work

"He was bruised and had an open wound to the waist."

Kagiso Police have opened a case of murder after a group of people found the body of a man lying in the street on their way to work on Wednesday, 17 January.

“Police received a complaint from a concerned member of the community about the body of a man that was on the street,” said Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police. “They proceeded to the scene of crime where they found the deceased, lying face up. He was bruised and had an open wound to the waist.”

The deceased, aged 31, was later identified by his father on the scene. He was a member of the community in the same area. The motive for the killing is unknown and Kagiso Police are investigating.
