Get ready to walk the talk for a good cause

With November 1 fast approaching, residents still have time to grab their tickets for a morning of family fun, lucky draws and community spirit at Ruimsig Stadium.

West Rand residents can lace up their walking shoes and make every step count at a 5km fundraising walk aimed at helping Monument Primary School complete its sports arena.

According to Walking The Talk Foundation founder Dale van Blerk, the local non-profit organisation will host the fundraising event at Ruimsig Stadium on Sunday, November 1, with festivities kicking off at 08:30.

The event aims to raise funds for the completion of the school’s sports arena while encouraging fitness, family connection, teamwork and community participation.

Learners, families, adults and community members are invited to take part in the walk and enjoy a morning of activities, food and refreshments. The programme will also include a best-banner competition and a lucky draw, with prizes for all ticket holders.

The fundraiser offers West Rand residents an opportunity to get active, spend quality time with loved ones and support a project that will benefit the school community.
