Boeremusiekfees:

3 FEBRUARIE — Diamant4 bied ‘n Boeremusiekfees aan by die Diamant4 Landgoed te Muldersdrift vanaf 10-uur die oggend tot laat die aand. Eie verversings en ‘n koelboks is welkom, maar daar sal ‘n kontantkroeg beskikbaar wees. Kos en pannekoek sal ook te koop wees. Kaartjies kos R80 per persoon, maar kinders onder 12 kry gratis toegang. Drag is semi-formeel, geen kort broeke en plakkies nie. Verskeie orkeste gaan optree. 4 FEBRUARY — The first Ngwenya Country Market of the year will take place in Muldersdrift on Sunday, 4 February, and thereafter on every first Sunday of the month. The market features great music and fabulous vendors with fresh produce, yummy food, cocktails, cakes and original and handmade gift-ware. Vendors include Joseph Donkeyman with his attractive wooden creations, Lyn from L-Squared with her delightful T-shirts (she designs and illustrates all images that she prints on to her men’s, ladies’ and kids’ T shirts) and Toco Loco and their delicious paella. Hike the Koppies:

4 FEBRUARY — Join in on a guided group hike through the Melville Koppies, setting off at 3pm sharp. Park in the upper car-park at Marks Park on Judith Road, Emmarentia, then cross Judith Road to the entrance on the opposite side. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children. 10 FEBRUARIE — Die Krugersdorpse Stapklub bied ‘n heerlike staproete by Van Gaalen Kaasplaas in Skeerpoort, aan. Die 10km staptoer begin met ‘n stappie deur die bebosde riete al langs die rivieroewer af. Vir die stappers wat van ‘n uitdaging hou, kan nog ‘n verdere 10km geklim word na ‘n ou Griekse kerk wat ‘n groot besienswaardigheid is. 3 FEBRUARY — The Kloofendal Nature Reserve is hosting a frog information evening from 6pm. The presentation will be followed by walk through the wetland and around the dam, looking for frogs and other water creatures. Nets and sample jars will be provided. Participants are shown how to treat all living creatures with care and respect. Costs are R70 for adults, R60 for pensioners, R50 for children and a donation of R10 per car for the security guard. Bookings can be done through Quicket.
