One driver injured and the other one missing after collision

The driver of the light motor vehicle was severely injured while the driver of the bakkie couldn't be found on scene.

A 27-year-old man sustained multiple injuries in a collision between a light motor vehicle and a bakkie on the R552 in Muldersdrift on Sunday night, 4 February.

It’s believed the incident happened just before 9pm and paramedics from ER24, Life Fourways and Lanseria Fire Department were called to the scene. They found the driver still inside the car. He sustained multiple fractures and several other injuries. Paramedics stabilised him and rushed him to Helen Joseph Hospital for further care.

The driver of the bakkie could not be found on scene. The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are not yet known.
