Luncheon Club spoiled for V-day

Pampering was most certainly the order of the day when they were given a back and shoulder massage.

Love was in the air on Wednesday, 14 February when 26 senior citizens from the Golden Jewels Luncheon Club let their hair down and kicked up their heels in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

For the first time ever, GOG Lifestyle Park in Lanseria had the distinct honour of hosting these ecstatic women for the entire day. After the women had been ferried in style from their homes, they were welcomed with drinks upon arrival at the Park.

“These beautiful ladies, the backbone of the Toekomsrus community – a suburb outside Randfontein – most certainly deserved to be treated,” general park manager, David du Preez said.

Pampering was most certainly the order of the day when they were given a back and shoulder massage. Lunch was served while the women were entertained by a live band and a vocal artist.

The afternoon was enhanced by beautiful surrounding as well as tastefully decorated settings within Villa Chateaux, a private VIP venue within the park. After being treated to a manicure and a heavenly foot massage, dessert was served.

“We were proud to be associated with our senior citizens and humbled by the opportunity to give back to our community. The glow on their faces was a great reward and we trust that we can continue the tradition that was just started,” David concluded.
