Welfare for Muldersdrift – finally

"The community will benefit greatly from the welfare services rendered in Muldersdrift."

The Muldersdrift Child and Family Welfare Unit, a subsidiary of The Bethany House Trust, recently opened an office in Muldersdrift in order to give the residents of Muldersdrift direct access to essential social welfare services.

The office, located at Community Ministries (opposite the Drift Inn Hotel), is manned by a team of social work professionals under the guidance of Martin Mandizha, and is open on weekdays between 9am and 3pm.

Most statutory welfare services such as foster care applications, assistance with grants and children’s court investigations are offered.

“We trust that this partnership – Bethany House, Community Ministries and CDR Equipping – will have a positive impact on the community and that the community will benefit greatly from the welfare services rendered in Muldersdrift,” said Gert Jonker, CEO of the Bethany House Trust.

Jonker also encouraged Muldersdrift-based businesses to support this initiative through sponsorships for fuel, admin costs and so forth. The Muldersdrift Child and Family Welfare Unit can be contacted on 072 039 7060.
