82-year-old cyclist knocked down by vehicle

He sustained multiple soft tissue injuries.

An 82-year-old male cyclist sustained injuries after being knocked down by a light motor vehicle on Luipaard Street yesterday, 4 March. The collision happened at about 10am and Netcare 911 responded to the call.

They arrived on scene and treated the victim for multiple soft tissue injuries. Fortunately, he was in a stable condition and paramedics could transport him to a nearby hospital.

The man had been riding with other cyclists, but no one else was injured in the incident. Mogale City Traffic Police were on the scene to investigate the incident.
