Senior citizen arrested for dealing in dagga

The police found 182g the substance in his possession.

A 60-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of dagga in Matshelapad, Tarlton.

On Wednesday, 14 March, police acted on a tip-off about a man who seemed to be dealing in the substance.

The information led the officer to a specific house in Matshelapad informal settlement, where 182g of a substance, suspected to be dagga, was confiscated. The man was arrested and detained at the Tarlton Police Station. He is expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.

Lieutenant Colonel Christinah Tsoaedi, Tarlton Police station commander, welcomed the arrest.

“Our primary objective is to enforce the law and we will do exactly that,” said Tsoaedi.
