Krugersdorp police concerned after finding two bodies three days apart

They discovered one body near the cemetery and the other in the street.

Police have expressed their concern about the number of murders which have occurred in the past four days after they found two bodies, one in Azaadville and the other in Kagiso.

Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police, reported that the identities of the victims are not yet known and the police are asking the public to assist in identifying them.

“The first body was found on Friday, 2 March at about 9am in an open space behind Azaadville cemetery. The male victim was wrapped in a black refuse bag and had wounds to his forehead. The police also noticed that the deceased seemed to have been strangled,” said Sibiya.

The second body was found lying next to the road in Dr Masibilanga in Kagiso on Monday, 5 March, also at about 9am.

“The deceased sustained a stab-wound to his upper body. Police have tried to find his next of kin without success. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and black leather takkies.”

The Kagiso Police are appealing to members of the public who might have a relative that went missing on or before 2 March to come and identify the bodies.
