Krugersdorp man critical after being knocked down

Advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated to help assist the man.

A man, believed to be in his 30s, was left critically injured after he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle in Carol Road, Silverfields.

The incident occurred yesterday, 12 April, at 6.40am.

ER24 paramedics, along with another private service, arrived on the scene to find the man lying in the road.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained serious injuries to his head and legs, leaving him in a critical condition.

Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated, in an effort to stabilise the patient’s vital signs.

Once treated, he was transported by ambulance to Leratong Hospital for further care.

The driver of the light motor vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
