Remember those working on Worker’s Day

Even though it's your day off from work, it is still important to remember those who are still working, to serve you, on this public holiday.

Yet another public holiday has arrived. It’s International Worker’s Day – a day that serves to pay homage to the working class of the nation and the intense power the masses hold in affecting government and commercial policies.

As a hard-working citizen, you decide to sleep in for a change. You wake up to check your phone, but soon discover that your network has been cut off. You immediately make use of your partner’s phone to contact the service provider in hopes of identifying the problem.

After solving the issue you get ready for your appointment at the hairdresser. On your way there you make a quick stop at the local pharmacy, as you’ve run out of painkillers. At the hairdresser you plan ahead the rest of your day.

You’re going to fill up your car’s petrol tank, buy some weekly groceries and perhaps even visit the bank to finally open that fourth account. You’ll meet up with some friends at a local restaurant and then decide on a movie afterwards.

After a long day of phoning service providers, getting your hair done, visiting the pharmacy, grocery store, garage, restaurant and mall you decide to put your feet up and order some pizza to be delivered.

Even though it’s your day off from work, it is important to remember those who are still working, to serve you, on this public holiday.

Should you plan on running any errands on this day, you might want to remember to wear your most considerate smile and friendly attitude in an effort to make the day bearable for all those working around you.
