What to do on Worker’s Day
Most of them can even be done in the comfort of your own home.
It’s Worker’s Day, and you might not have a clue about how you are going to spend your day off.
If this dreadful thought just occurred to you, do not fear, as we have a few ideas for you to enjoy your day, right here.
According to www.smaggle.com there are quite a few totally delightful ways for you to enjoy Worker’s Day. Most of them can even be done in the comfort of your own home:
• Read a book outside
As winter is around the corner, this is the perfect way to enjoy the last bit of fresh air and sunshine. Just find a sunny spot, make yourself a cup of tea and enjoy a good read.
• Visit the zoo
Even though most zoos will be quite busy on the public holiday, it’s still not a bad idea to pack a picnic basket and go for a lovely walk with a few loved ones.
• Host a tea party
It doesn’t have to be fancy, nor expensive. Just give some good friends a call and ask each of them to come over with something they baked. You can even get the kids to help you out, which also serves as a great way to keep them busy at home.
• Tidy your house
This might be a good time to clean up in and around your house. Make sure the chimney, fireplace and gutters are unblocked and rotate your wardrobe from summer clothes to winter clothes.
• Eat a cuisine you’ve never tried before
Ethiopian, Armenian, Turkish, Japanese. If you constantly find yourself going to the same Thai place every week, pick something new.
• E-learn something
If you’ve been wanting to learn French, coding, knitting or singing why not start right now? Time spent learning is never time wasted so put aside a few hours to do something you’ve always wanted to do.
• Do a hike in your nearest national park
Go to the Kloofendal Nature Reserve and hike. Take some time in nature to reflect on your current state of being. All the oxygen will set you up for a brilliant week as well.
