Would you be brave enough to sit next to the Mad Hatter, or Mowgli?

The learners of Monument Primary dressed as their favorite characters to celebrate World Book day.

Would you dare to cross a pathway to school where the Scholar Patrol is dressed as Ghostface from the slasher movie Scream? Would you dare to enter the fantasy school classrooms with Snow White or Robin Hood as your teacher?

Would you be brave enough to sit next to the Mad Hatter or Mowgli?
The learners of Monument Primary did! To celebrate World Book Day on Monday, 23 April, the learners were given the opportunity to dress as any character from a book, and boy – did they look fantastic!

From the likes of Wonder Woman, to the mischievous attire of Thing 1 and Thing 2 (from the Cat in the Hat story), the learners represented the characters they adore so much.

The purpose of this fancy-dress opportunity was to inspiring children to explore the magical world of literacy and books.

But it wasn’t just fun and games, the learners also had to bring a book to school which they donated to an underprivileged school.
