[UPDATE] Why there’s still no water in parts of Krugersdorp
Here's where residents can collect water until the issues are resolved.
Rand Water has confirmed that water was being received at its reservoirs since the replacement of power cables at Emfuleni Municipality, but the level has not increased enough to restore water to some areas of Krugersdorp.
Jade Miller, a ward councillor in Krugersdorp, posted a note on Facebook saying that water is coming into the reservoirs and immediately going out.

“It’s the same at the Mogale reservoirs. Levels are not sufficient to pump to the pressure towers, or to supply to the higher-lying areas. At this stage, the affected areas will not increase, but the water supply cannot be fully restored yet,” said Miller.
“Residents with water are encouraged to use it sparingly so that the reservoir can fill again.”
Rand Water Tweeted the following message using the handle #waterinterruptions: “We are monitoring the high-lying areas in Krugersdorp. Here the reservoir levels stand currently at between 12 and 20 per cent.”
There is only a water tanker available in West Village at the moment. The News is waiting for confirmation of other water tankers to be made available soon.
