‘Why do we have to shower in cold water in the winter?’

"The Democratic Alliance will not sit back when residents are taken for a ride and don't receive the services due to them from the Government."

Councillors and community members living in Chief Mogale are furious about the government’s continued disregard for projects which they start and never finish.

One of these projects is specially disheartening to the residents in Phase 1. They were promised solar geysers in 2013, but some of them have not materialised. Councillor Kagiso Lekagane, who watches over this area, said there was no clear explanation for the failure of the municipality to install these geysers.

Lekagane says the Democratic Alliance is not going to sit back when residents are taken for a ride and don’t receive the services due to them from the Government.

Sarah Modipane, who lives at House 651 in Chief Mogale Phase 1, said they are tired of raising the same matters time and again at the meetings and receiving nothing but empty promises.
