The workshop was held to restore the confidence of the girls and women of Kagiso, to rebuild their self-esteem, help them regain their dignity and realise their purpose.

The workshop was for the ‘I can’ type of girl and the amazing speakers tried to give as much leadership as they could to the young women. The speakers included Gloria Bosman, a jazz singer and co-founder of BOM entertainment, Phumla Jones, the HIV/ Aids co-ordinator at Mogale City Local Municipality, Dr Nozuko Nchefu, a medical doctor and Desiderata Tshegofatso, the director and an executive stylist.

The women held team building exercises at the workshop.
