Cable theft in the East results in water disruptions in the West

This incident prevented Rand Water from pumping water.

Residents of the Monument, Krugersdorp North and Kenmare areas, among others, might be experiencing water disruptions.

According to the local Democratic Alliance (DA) office, disruptions are possible in the Krugersdorp area as a result of cable theft in the Bruma area.

This incident has prevented Rand Water from pumping water to the reservoirs in that area.

Once they have been replenished, water will be restored to Krugersdorp. Areas and duration of disruption are uncertain.

The DA advises residents to use water sparingly and to make the necessary provisions.
