Sweets, treats and some love for the elderly on Mandela Day

Honeyfield Charity spent their Mandela Day minutes with 10 elderly residents.

Honeyfield Charity celebrated Mandela Day by spending their 67 minutes with 10 elderly residents at Adonai Sorg vir Bejaardes.

The members of Honeyfield prepared a scrumptious meal for the residents before handing over gifts.

They each received a necessity pack containing deodorant, toothpaste, a face cloth and other toiletries, as well as a blanket and a treat pack with cookies and marshmallows.

“Our biggest wish is to help people like this every day, but unfortunately our sponsors are few and we have to make use of what we have,” said Ann Bezuidenhout, founder of Honeyfield.
