Appelparkie remembers Madiba

Approximately 200 children were treated to a day of face painting, candy floss, boerewors rolls, cold drink and sweetss as well as a jumping castle and some pumping music.

A local charity, House of Hope, commemorated Tata Madiba’s legacy by inviting all the children from Appelpark and surrounds to their annual Mandela Day initiative which was held at Appelparkie in Job Street.

Approximately 200 children were treated to a day of face painting, candy floss, boerewors rolls, cold drinks and sweets as well as a jumping castle and some pumping music.

According to the organisers, Hilda Erasmus and Wilma Lock, this event is of one the highlights on the charity’s calendar.

To end off the event, they received a special visit from a group of passionate bikers who wanted to join in on the fun.
