Lend a hand to get Kayla to Serbia

The Rachstein family needs some help to get Kayla to the Euro Dance Festival in Serbia next year.

Kayla Rachstein, who is 15 this year, has qualified to take part in the Euro Dance Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia, early next year.

Kayla qualified for the competition after phenomenal performances at the Euro Dance South Africa Qualifier on 28 and 29 July. Her sterling performances and hard work earned her three gold medals, along with a special award.

The accolades that Kayla received have subsequently seen her qualify to join the South African team which will be taking part in the Euro Dance Fest in Serbia.

Kayla’s passion for dance lies with contemporary, modern and ballet dancing, and she is also a dancer for the Jozi Youth Dance Company.

The Euro Dance Festival she has qualified for takes place on 9 and 10 March 2019. But qualifying doesn’t necessarily mean she will be able to go, as all travel costs and expenses have to be paid by her parents. Sadly, this is more than they can afford, so Kayla’s mother, Lee-Ann, has asked for assistance to raise funds to get Kayla to Novi Sad next year.

You can contact Lee-Ann Rachstein on 079 889 4904 if you are in a position to assist.
