A Zumba challenge goes to the dogs

The turn-out and the donations were incredible, and much fun was had by all.

When it comes to giving back to charity, The Pure Health Centre in Monument accepts it as a challenge.

This year, the practitioners were particularly drawn to the plight of the 9th Day Animal Shelter and identified a need within the community to support the shelter which rescues and tries to rehabilitate many abandoned and stray dogs in Krugersdorp and the surrounding areas.

In doing so, the practitioners at the centre hosted a ’67 minutes of Zumba’ challenge with the entrance fee being any dry or tinned dog food, which was then donated to the animal shelter.

The turn-out and the donations were incredible, and much fun was had by all.

“The centre wants to thank its patrons and the community of Krugersdorp for their continued support and their initiatives over what will soon be 10 years of existence,” said Dr Bianca De Canha, the registered homeopath at the centre.
