Môreglans elderly pray for peace

"We hold special days like these for the residents to ensure that they keep hope and faith that the world they leave behind will be okay for those who come after them."

Môreglans Old Age Home’s residents recently prayed for world peace during a special ceremony held in their hall.

The residents held candles and peace flags and prayed to God that the tensions between nations would not turn violent and eventually into war.

They also had a moment of silence to commemorate those who were lost during wars and to think about their loved ones and their safety.

Joyce Muzhizhizhi, who organised the prayer day, said she was happy the residents were given the opportunity to have a moment of silence and that everyone was in such good spirits about the event.
