The day dawned with a buzz of activity as the Krugersdorp Flying Club hosted a Fly In Fundraiser in aid of the Gateway School, which serves learners with severe intellectual disabilities.

According to Debbie Picket from the school, the approximately 340 learners range between the ages of five and 18 years and are representative of the whole rainbow nation.
The funds raised on this day will be used to build a big classroom that will be divided into two separate rooms. One will serve as a sewing classroom and the other as a normal classroom.

The day was filled with activities ranging from live entertainment by Touch of Class and Tanya V to a supervised games area for the children.
The fly-past of planes and helicopter flips also served to keep the adrenaline pumping.
