Scrapbooking pensioners have some Spring in their steps

A large number of scrapbookers recently participated in the nation-wide Spring Scrapbooking Day initiated by Scrap Affairs scrapbooking magazine.

This event was made possible by I-scrap Johannesburg and hosted more than 20 pensioners over the age of 55.

According to organiser, Michelle van Wyk, their event at the Evangelies Gereformeerde Kerk in Kenmare, was one of approximately 30 that were held across South Africa.

With floral paper, a pair of scissors, paint and ribbon, the women soon created extraordinary sheets to be pasted onto their first scrapbook page of the Spring season.

Not only did the women get the opportunity to form lifelong friendships, they also enjoyed some sweet tea and lunch with their new friends.
