Lions walk for warriors
All supporters took on a strenuous 8km fun walk in an effort to raise funds for the Shellhole.
The Krugersdorp Lions Clubs recently hosted their annual Warrior Fun Walk at the Moth (Memorable Order of Tin Hats) Warrior Shellhole. It was nothing short of spectacular.

All supporters took on a strenuous 8km fun walk in an effort to raise funds for the Shellhole. They were even welcome to enjoy a much-deserved braai after conquering the route.
At the end of the day the Lions Club was thrilled to hand over a cheque of R10 000 to the Shellhole’s Old Bill, Phil McMahon. According to Ashley Stander from the club, the money was collected through ticket sales and will go towards the maintenance of the property.

To make the walk fun for all, there were prizes handed out to the fastest walkers and the slowest walkers.

Here are the winners:
First girl: Ann Burnett (who decided to re-donate her winning money to the Lions Club)
First boy: Tie between Michael Nel and Nico Both
Third female: Debbie Law
Second female: Jonquille Bands
First female: Trish Potgieter
Third male: Carl Ochse
Second male: Warren Howe-Watson
First male and overall winner: Richard le Roux
The Lions felt honoured to have been able to support the warriors for yet another year.
