Men receive 15 years each for murdering their friend

Justice was served on the friend's killers.

Tshepo Chauke, 33, and John Nyoni, 30, were each sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment after being found guilty of murder.

On Sunday, 1 March 2015, the body of a man was found in a river in Muldersdrift. Detective Sergeant Nkuna interviewed Nyoni, whom he knew from another case, after he was said to be a friend of the deceased. There were blood stains on Nyoni’s clothes and as the interview progressed, he admitted to the murder and also indicated that Tshepo Chauke was his accomplice.
