NO WATER — Mogale suspends water to most parts of town

Mogale says water supply is expected to resume later this afternoon.

The Water and Sanitation Division of Mogale City Local Municipality has released a notification to residents, stating that most parts of Mogale City are without water due to a main water pipeline burst at the corner of Paardekraal Drive and Commissioner Street (opposite the Krugersdorp Fire Department) in the Central Business District (CBD).

Their technical team has been on site since this morning and the following are in progress:

• The burst pipe has been identified

• Water supply was temporarily suspended to make way for repair work

• Repair work is being urgently carried out

The notification reads that normal water supply is expected to resume this afternoon.

“We apologise for the inconvenience that this interruption has caused to residents and businesses in Mogale City, but the problem is being attended to.”
