Young man nabbed for drug possession

Kagiso police are busy cleaning up the streets.

“In our quest to fight the scourge of drug trafficking, our members are leaving no stone unturned. We are cleaning the streets of Kagiso and the surrounding areas like Tshepisong,” said Captain Solomon Sibiya, Kagiso Police spokesperson.

Members of the Kagiso crime prevention team were patrolling the streets on 16 October at 2pm when they spotted a group of suspicious-looking men and approached them.

When they searched the men they found illegal drugs in one of the men’s pockets.

The 23-year-old suspect was arrested and detained at the police station and will appear in court today.
