Daar gaan handgemaakte geskenke, kunswerke, speelgoed, juwele, Kersversierings en baie meer wees. Kom kuier gerus in die teetuin as jy op soek is na geskenke vir Kersfees. Die mark vind plaas op die NG Krugersdorp-Noord kerk se perseel, hoek van Viljoen- en Derdestraat, Krugersdorp-Noord. Deure sal vanaf 4.15nm oop wees. Hierdie vertoning was in April 2018 by die KKNK vrygestel. Ons vier 10 jaar van pret en plesier! Benefit concert

The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund has partnered with the Nirox Foundation in Kromdraai, Muldersdrift to host a benefit concert at the Nirox Sculpture Park.

27 OCTOBER — The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund has partnered with the Nirox Foundation in Kromdraai, Muldersdrift to host a benefit concert at the Nirox Sculpture Park. Experience a full day of music, food, art and nature on display in the Cradle of Humankind – a World Heritage Site. The line-up of artists will be rehearsing and collaborating with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. The day will begin with Mosoeu Ketlele’s Skorokoro Ensemble – their infectious rhythms and beats creating the percussive layer for the day. Mosoeu then becomes singer and storyteller as he recites nursery rhymes in several languages for the children in attendance to sing along to. A delicious selection of beverages and cuisine will be available for sale on the day, courtesy of a collection of some of Joburg’s finest marketeers, pop-ups, tuk-tuks and restaurateurs. Hike the Koppies

28 OCTOBER — Join a three-koppie group hike of 8km or three hours through the Melville Koppies. You can park, meet, and pay in the upper parking area at Marks Park in Judith Road, Emmarentia. The hike sets off 8.30am sharp, so please arrive in plenty of time. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Hikers need to be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Children must be over six years old. Sorry, no dogs allowed. The talented trio, Encore, will release their new album entitled Segarona at Silverstar.

28 OCTOBER — The talented trio, Encore, will release their new album entitled Segarona at Silverstar. The trio – which consists of Keabetwe Kototsi, Kabelo Thomane and Peter Letsaolo – are re-inventing soulful African ballads with their perfectly-synced harmonies coupled with impeccable lyrics. The result is a musical recipe which captures the hearts of many South Africans. Tickets are available from Computicket at R150 per person for VIPs, and just R120 for general admission.

Caxton West Rand and Hearts and Crafts are hosting a Reader’s Day at Usambara Venue and Lodge.

15 NOVEMBER — Caxton West Rand and Hearts and Crafts are hosting a Reader’s Day at Usambara Venue and Lodge. The goodie bags will have magazines, books, pens, vouchers, miniature bottles from Witpoortjie Liquor Store, vouchers, a bow-making thingymajig, a sample lotion plus recipe, and much, much more. That’s in addition to the lucky-draw prizes. In fact, the contents of the goodie bags are probably worth more than the entrance fee. The day will start at 8:30am for 9am till after lunch.
