Krugersdorp police wants residents to be vigilant even when praying

Residents are urged to keep a look out even when they are out and about for religious reasons.

“The Krugersdorp Police want to warn residents to be vigilant, especially when going to places to pray,” said their spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashele.

On 25 October at approximately 8am, there was a religious gathering in an open field in Munsieville.

Two men allegedly pointed at the churchgoers with a firearm and robbed them of their personal belongings, and one victim’s firearm. The victims tried to fight back but one man was stabbed with a knife.

The 38-year-old victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

A search for the robbers yielded no results and they are still at large.
