Husky Heaven invited the community to bring their pets for a nice Sunday stroll.

Husky Heaven Rescue centre invited the community to join them in a Husky Heaven Rescue Walk.

Huskies from all over the community met at 8am on the Sunday morning to take a walk at the new Kloof Rus venue in Kromdraai.

Tony and Nadine Cilliers brought their huskies Kayle, Lexy, Candy and Jenna for a Sunday stroll.

According to Brenda Meyer from the centre, they wanted to start early because the recent heat would tire out the precious pets when it gets too hot.

Entrance was R50 per person and all the dogs received a gift. Kloof Rus had three trails that the owners could follow and there were water bowls strategically placed along the way.

Tony Muller and her husky, Spirit, who just wanted to make friends with all the other dogs.

The owners could treat themselves to cool drinks, sandwiches, boerewors rolls or some home-made jams. There was also a stall available where you could buy goodies for your pet.
