Police looking for man who raped a child

Krugersdorp police are looking for information about the whereabouts of a suspect for charges of rape of a child.

Police are appealing to the Krugersdorp community for any information on a rape suspect.

The victim was with her friends when they decided to go play in a nearby mountainous area. While returning home after it began getting dark, they were approached and then chased by a man. The victim was tripped and dragged into nearby bushes where she was raped, according to police.

The victim escaped while her friends went to call their parents and members of the street patrol.

The man is described as being between 30 and 40 years old, tall, slender built, has a mole on his neck, has short black dreadlocks and a ‘coffee skin colour’. He was last seen wearing brown trousers, a grey drimac and safety boots.
