“Working with our communities is yielding excellent results,” said the station commander of the Kagiso Police, Brigadier Themba Maduna.
He reiterated that members of the public are well-positioned to observe and report illegal activities that affect children and their environment.
On 10 January at about 2pm, the Kagiso Police arrested a 25-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man in central Kagiso. The two had two tablets, a bank card and R5 000 in counterfeit notes with them.
Earlier in the day, the police had received a tip-off that the residents of a local house were selling drugs. They searched the woman after she and a man were found at the house. She was placed under arrest and then pointed out the man as her accomplice.
Both were detained at the Kagiso Police Station and were charged with possession of drugs. They have already appeared in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court.
