Woman arrested for 17-year-old’s murder

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested for the murder of a girl in Munsieville.

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested for murdering another young woman.

According to Captain Raymond Sebonyane, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Police, they were summoned to Dr Yusuf Dadoo Hospital on 11 January at 7.45pm.

There they found that the 17-year-old victim, who had stab wounds to her upper body, had been brought in by another community member. Unfortunately she succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead on arrival.

Reports indicate the incident happened at the Mshenguville informal settlement in Munsieville.

A preliminary investigation was done by detective Sergeant Bantobetse and Constable Nemasisi and they arrested the older woman in the early hours of 12 January.

She appeared in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court on 14 January.

The Krugersdorp Police station commander, Brigadier Ngwako Mashao, commended the members for a job well done.
