The Kagiso Police have declared war on drugs!
According to Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police Station, they have seen the drug peddlers and dealers starting to feel the heat following the constant arrests. He added that these drugs ruin the dreams and aspirations of the youth.
The latest arrest took place on Wednesday, 16 January, when the sector members received a tip-off about a drug dealer in Rietvallei.
When the police arrived at the address provided, they came across a 34-year-old man who allowed them to search the shack.
Police found a plastic bag containing drugs known as Cat and Crystal Meth on top of a chest of drawers. The man admitted to the police that he was using drugs and was subsequently arrested.
He has been charged with possession of drugs and will appear in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court.
“Working together with our communities is bearing positive results that will save our children’s lives. We will continue to squeeze the drug dealers and users out of the town,” warned Brigadier Themba Maduna, the station commander.
