Tshepisong star hoping to be crowned an SA hero
A Tshepisong author has been nominated for the South African Heroes Awards.
Onkarabile Mokoto, 33, an award winning author who won the Bothlale Literary Academy Award, has been nominated for the South African Heroes Awards (SAHA).
Onkarabile is a motivational speaker, author and radio presenter at Westside FM, as well as an online TV host. His journey towards being an author started in 2017, when he launched his first book, titled How To Hear God When He Speaks. He has recently released a new book titled Rule Through Your Knowledge.
The upcoming star now hosts the inspirational show called Inspired Conversations – Community Wellness show at Westside FM.
He also owns a coaching company named Life Shaping Services, that provides coaching, writing and speaking awareness.
His journey was not easy, as he had to start by working his way up as a security guard, but that did not stop him from achieving his heart’s desire.
He explained that being an author comes with some challenges, for instance, marketing his books is quite difficult as there is low readership in South Africa.
In September, Onkarabile will launch Speaking Academy, a programme run through his company, that he would like to feature to the rest of the country as well as the world.
You can vote for Onkarabile by simply SMSing ‘HERO A5’ to 45633. The awards will take place on 27 April at Uncle Toms in Orlando, Soweto.
