Staying home this Easter weekend? Here are some great events taking place.

With the Easter weekend being a mini-holiday for many, there are some great events taking place for those staying home as well.

Good Friday Service

19 APRIL — Join Rhema West for their Good Friday Service at 9am as they commemorate and celebrate what Jesus Christ did for humanity in His life, death, burial and resurrection. He really lived, really died and really came back to life. Don’t forget about the Resurrection Sunday Service, 21 April, and Holy Communion at all services. West Side Night Market

19 APRIL — Come to the West Side Night Market at Ramkiki Country Restaurant from 6pm to 10pm. There is no entrance fee and secure parking is available. This is also a pet-friendly market. For more details call 081 500 6884 or email westsidemarkets@gmail.com.

Join in on a guided group tour of up to three hours or 4km through the Melville Koppies.

21 APRIL — Join in on a guided group tour of up to three hours or 4km through the Melville Koppies. Hike sets off at 8.30am sharp. You can park in the top parking area at Marks Park on Judith Road, Emmarentia, then walk across Judith to the entrance. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Hikers must be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Kids Easter at Garden World

Garden World is hosting a great Easter treat for children.

21 APRIL — Garden World is hosting a great Easter treat for children on 21 and 22 April from 10am. There will be pot painting, followed by an Easter egg hunt.
