Two crashes sees paramedics with their hands full on Workers Day

Six people were left injured in two separate crashes around Krugersdorp.

Netcare 911 responded to two crashes in the Krugersdorp area yesterday morning.

The collision at an intersection on the N14 in Tarlton happened at 8.25am. A statement by Netcare 911’s Shawn Herbst indicated that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision.

Four people sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene by medics before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

This intersection remains one of the most dangerous in the area.

The incident that happened just before 10am was on Van Riebeeck Road in Sterkfontein.

According to Herbst’s statement, reports from the scene indicated that the driver of a light motor vehicle had lost control of it. Although the two occupants fortunately escaped injury, they were assessed on scene and declined ambulance transportation to hospital.
