Summit gymnasts excel in the SA Cup
Nine young gymnasts competed against some very tough competitors in the national SA Cup competition.
The Summit Gymnastics Club is the place to be if you’ve got what it takes to be a great junior gymnast.
This was made even more apparent when some of their tumblers qualified to compete in the South African Cup competition at the South African Gymnastics training centre in Pretoria.
Nine Summit tumblers qualified to compete in this prestigious competition. They achieved outstanding results at the competition, and were awarded the following overall trophies in their respective sections:
Ila Oosthuysen (Level 1), Kaitlyn Crous (Level 2) and Divan du Plessis (Level 1) finished with a first place each.
Carmi-Lee Kok (Level 1) and Mariné Lombard (Level 5) placed second, with Lily Hayes (Level 2), Coraldi Beckmann and Liam De Mendonca (both Level 4) placing an overall third.
