Five injured in a multi-vehicle accident in Silverfields

Emergency services were sent to the scene of a collision, with reports stating that the vehicles were spread across the road when the services arrived.

Rescue services responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision at the Voortrekker and Barrett Roads intersection on Saturday, 18 May at about 8.30pm.

Reports from the scene indicated that a man and woman, both in their 20s, were trapped inside their car. According to ER24, the man had sustained serious injuries, and the woman had moderate injuries. Rescue service personnel carefully extricated them from the car and treated them on the scene before transporting them to a nearby private hospital.

Reports also indicated that three other people were assessed on the scene, and it was found that they had escaped injury.
