Ianthe vying for Mrs Universe SA title

Vote for Ianthe Ludeke for Mrs Universe South Africa.

Forty-year-old Ianthe Ludeke, a resident of Noordheuwel, is a finalist in this year’s Mrs Universe South Africa pageant.

The purpose of the Mrs Universe SA pageant is to support and empower women in South Africa and to bring wealth to the community. The pageant creates a platform to inspire, mentor and support women. Contestants raise awareness and funds for charities assisting victims of domestic abuse and violence.

The winner, who will be crowned as Mrs Universe SA, will take part in the Mrs Universe 2019 pageant. This is the world’s biggest pageant that caters for married and divorced women. Annually, 80 countries compete for this coveted title. Mrs Universe SA 2018, Melanie Wright, took part in the Mrs Universe competition in the Philippines during December, and was awarded the Star Award.

Ianthe, a divorced, single mother of two teenagers, has entered the pageant to make a difference in other people’s lives, especially those of women who have been through emotional, verbal and physical abuse and violence. She has worked in the corporate industry for more than 22 years but has recently been certified as a Chata Romano Image Consultant and is also a makeup artist. She does motivational talks at schools and other events, as well as charity events focusing on domestic violence.

“Since starting with the Mrs Universe competition, I have learned lot of things about myself and other people, It has grown me as person and also given me the opportunity to go to places I never thought I would ever go to,”said Ianthe.

The Grand Finale will take place on 28 September 2019 at the Roodepoort Theatre.
