Police and security teams teach residents to be safe

The Krugersdorp police, Apcan Security, EPR Security and Creative Studios joined together for a safety campaign in town recently.

Community members expressed their surprise last week when the Krugersdorp Police, Apcan Security, EPR Security and Creative Studios conducted a safety campaign in town.

According to a report from Captain Raymond Sebonyane, spokesperson for the Krugersdorp Police, the team handed out about 800 pamphlets containing numerous safety tips.

The pamphlets included tips on how to prevent hijackings, house and business robberies and contact crime.

The team also issued safety tips at various shopping centres in Sectors 1, 3 and 4 around Krugersdorp.

Areas such as President Square shopping centre, Viljoen Street, the R28 road and the crossing at Voortrekker Road were the focus of their campaign.
