What’s your pet’s New Year’s resolutions?

Dogs and cats tell you about their New Year's resolutions for 2020.

You might be thinking about your New Year’s resolutions right now, but you might’ve always wondered what resolutions your pet might make. Wonder no longer. We consulted our man’s best friends, and a couple of cats, to find out what their resolutions are for 2020:

Dog says:

1) 20 … no 30 … no, a hundred belly rubs per day!

2) Catch tail

3) Chase neighbour’s cat

4) Bark louder than I’ve ever barked before

5) Catch bird that poos on patio

6) Go for more walks

7) Brush teeth more than once this year

8) Get pet insurance

9) Go to park on more weekends

10) Have a photo shoot with the family

11) Go swimming

12) Learn new trick

13) Get a doggy ID

14) Break pee-against-wheels record of 28

15) Adopt a kitty cat

Cat says:

1) Leave me alone

2) Pick a fight with an alley cat

3) Eat/ sniff more catnip

4) Leave more hair on couch

5) Rip new curtains

6) Push over everything I can find on tables

7) Hiss at annoying dog

8) Go for a walk and swim with owner. Just kidding. Refer back to resolution number one.

9) Climb on everything in the house, tilt head upside down and get a new perspective on life

10) Sleep more. Actually, mostly sleep

11) Lick fur until I’m stunning

12) Only eat fresh. If it touches the ground, it’s dead to me

13) Fall asleep on human’s lap and purr more

14) ‘Boop’ human’s face more for attention

15) Finally catch mouse. It’s been three years coming
