Eskom released a statement yesterday, 12 March, stating the planned electricity supply interruption to Mogale City Local Municipality has been suspended.
“The commitment of payment made by the Mogale City Municipality led Eskom to suspend the interruption of electricity supply to the municipality,” the statement from Eskom read.

The electricity supplier added that they would be keeping an eye on the developments between them and the municipality, to ensure that services rendered are being paid for.
