“They had bullied my daughter for three years. At one stage it got so bad she used to hide in the bathrooms during break just to get away from them,” the mother explained, adding that she did report it to the school, but not much was ever done to address the issue.
“That is why I enrolled my daughter in a private school, so she could get away from them. But they found her in a public place.”
She explained how the one girl allegedly approached her daughter and asked her why she did not greet them.
Her daughter then replied that she was under the impression they did not talk anymore.

The girl allegedly started insulting her and her appearance.
According to the mother, the alleged aggressor continued calling her daughter bad names. However, before leaving she allegedly said something so hurtful that her daughter walked up to her and grabbed her shoulder, in the process pulling her hair.
The mother said the girl then turned around and laughed in her daughter’s face before walking away.
Later one of the boys who was with the other girls came to her daughter and asked her to go with him.
“My daughter said she thought they wanted to apologise because they were shouting at her in front of everyone, so she went with him.”
Once outside the group allegedly continued their altercation and one girl then slapped her daughter in the face.
“She was hit so hard in the ear that her tooth cut her lip, causing her to become disorientated and fall on the step.”
The mother said her daughter bled profusely, but the others ran away and jumped in a car while allegedly being chased by Silverstar security personnel.
“I was phoned by security to tell me my daughter had been in an incident. The parents of the friend she was with brought her home.”
The mother said she just wanted the truth to come out as the other children’s parents were saying her daughter did this to herself.
She confirmed that a case had been opened with the Krugersdorp Police, and will be transferred to the Muldersdrift Police.
“I am not sad, I am mad. I want the truth about what happened that night to come out, and I want those involved to take responsibility for their actions,” the mother said.
Silverstar responded by saying they were aware of the incident involving two minor females that took place on Friday, 13 March.
“A case has been opened with the police and we are therefore not able to make any further comment,” their feedback stated.
