EPR West Rand has released their crime report for 23 to 26 July, during which their reaction officers responded to 10 incidents in the Krugersdorp area.
“Two incidents of armed robbery were reported to EPR in Krugersdorp during the weekend,” said Johan Krogh, General Manager for EPR.
In one of these incidents an online shopping delivery vehicle was targeted, and in another a business was robbed of cash and airtime.
Krogh explained that there has been a problem with gate motors and gate motor parts being stolen in the area. Two such incidents were also reported to them over the weekend.
Other incidents included a break-in in Wentworth Park, attempted trespassing when the culprit dug a hole under a palisade fence in Rangeview, and damage to property in Tarlton.
“Residents are cautioned to be pro-active in assuring their gate motors are properly secured,” Krogh added.
