Mogale City water meter maintenance complete
Kenmare Sump levels sit at 30% as restoration efforts continue for local supply.
Water supply recovery is under way after planned maintenance on a water check meter was successfully completed.
Mogale City Local Municipality’s Water Services Department confirmed the completion in a statement.
Refilwe Mahlangu, assistant to Mogale City Local Municipality’s Media and PR manager, confirmed that Rand Water opened its valve at midnight this morning, October 15, allowing water supply recovery to begin.

“As a result, high-lying areas may continue to experience low water pressure or intermittent supply until reservoir levels reach 50%,” she confirmed.

She explained that low-lying areas currently have water supply. However, the team has reported high water consumption. Residents in these areas are therefore urged to use water sparingly and only for essential purposes to allow the reservoirs to recover fully.
The municipality once again thanks residents for their patience and understanding during the planned maintenance.
