8-month-old kidnapped in Magaliesburg – Manhunt launched

Two women who posed as family disappeared with the little girl.

A mother has been left devastated after two women disappeared with her eight-month-old daughter in Magaliesburg CBD on Monday, 3 August.

According to a statement by police spokesperson Captain Mavela Masondo, police are searching for two women who took the baby girl from her mother.

Masondo explained that the two women allegedly went to the baby’s home in Ga-Mogale in Magaliesburg and informed the mother that they were from the father’s family and wanted to buy clothes for the little girl.

The mother then accompanied the women to Magaliesburg CBD and One of them asked to hold the baby while the mother went into the shop to buy food.

But when the mother came out of the shop she found that the baby and the women were gone.

Masondo said the suspects who might be in their mid 20s, were speaking Setswana and were wearing blue jeans and black sleeper boots, and one had a blue sweater on. Both suspects have a light complexion.

“The police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help them find the two women and the baby to please call Captain Alex Mafhungo on 082 822 8270 or detective Captain Joel Mogoanye on 082 641 4902,” said Masondo.
