Monique our September Solve it Squad winner

The 12-year-old is the Krugersdorp News Solve It Squad winner for September.

The 12-year-old Monique van Staden was announced the Krugersdorp News Solve It Squad winner for September recently.

All Monique had to do was get her mother to take a photo of her working on one of the Solve it Squad puzzles, and send it to 076 344 1550. She won a Nivea sun care hamper worth R700.

She is a Grade 7 learner at Ebenhaeser Primary School and has been a model since 2014 when her mother, Alice, enrolled her and her three sisters in modelling school. While she plans on furthering her modelling career, she has already taken part in a few pageants and impressed.

In 2014 she came second in the Mr and Miss Ebies (Ebenhaeser Primary) pageant, and has also participated in the Mr and Miss Rhino and Lion competition, where she had to sing. Monique is not just a pretty face.

She said she enjoys puzzles, especially the ones in the News, and also to dance and sing in her spare time.
